These pipes are expertly engineered by Manfred Deger, Germany and have proved popular all over the world since their introduction three years ago. The form the pipe takes is that of a practice chanter with the circuit being completed through contact with the mouth, though of course there is no blowing required. The notes are amplified by a box connected to the chanter. This box comes complete with volume and pitch control for both drones and chanter, a metronome to help you to keep time and a choice of Highland pipe or smallpipe sound. The pipe is powered by a 9 volt battery (not supplied) and can be played using headphones which are supplied. The pipe is highly adaptable and can be linked to Midi systems and other audio appliances.
Unfortunatly the canvas case is not available at the moment.

M28 Fagerstrom Electronic Practice Chanter
These practice chanters are engineered by Anders Fagerstrom from Sweden and are avaialable in both clear or black plastic finish. Sound is produced via headphones or domestic sound system speakers. The chanter operates from the moisture of the fingers completeing the circuit and has been configured to produce 'piobaireachd' high G and C natural for 'kitchen' piping. Measuring 9 inches in length approx. the chanter fits neatly in an inside jacket pocket and is powered by four small 'watch' type batteries (supplied). Headphones not included in price but connections are industry standard making most personal hi fi phones suitable. This is a very popular practice instrument particularly for those who need to practice without disturbing others.

The Fred Morrison Sound is a software based bagpipe that, when used with the Technopipes or any MIDI bagpipe, enables you to play high quality studio-sampled Highland pipes, Scottish Smallpipes, Border pipes and even Uilleann pipes. All instruments can be played with your own bagpipe fingering in any key over a two octave range. Each virtual instrument is composed from sound samples played by Fred Morrison on his own pipes.
