students, Overseas Summer School participants and pipers
from Affiliated Bands. Trophies, medals and substantial
prizes in all events.

Date: Wednesday 2nd July, 2008. 6.30 pm for 7pm start.
Venue: College of Piping, Piping Hall, Otago Street
Event 1. Chanter - Beginner - 6 months approximately learning - Two part March.
Event 2. Chanter - Intermediate - not yet on pipes - Two part March.
No age bar in events 1 & 2.
Event 3. Novice Piping – Under 18 March – Two Parts.
Event 4. Novice Piping – Under 18 Strathspey and Reel – Two Parts each.
Event 5. Novice Piping – Under 18 Slow Air – Two Parts.
Event 6. Under 18 March – Four Parts
Event 7. Under 18 Strathspey and Reel – Four Parts each.
Event 8. Under 18 Piobaireachd – Whole tune including Taorluath and Crunluath
Event 9. Adult Novice (Over 18) – March - Two Parts
Event 10. Adult Novice (Over 18) – Strathspey and Reel – Two Parts each.
Event 11. Adult Novice (Over 18) – Piobaireachd – Ground only
Event 12. Open March Strathspey and Reel – Four Parts each - Straight Through
Event 13. Open Piobaireachd – Whole tune including Taorluath and Crunluath.
Competitors in events 3 – 11 are not allowed to play in event 12 & 13.
Competitors play their own choice of tune in all events.
