Come and study piping among some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe….

The College in association with the Achiltibuie Piping College is holding a week long piping school from March 28th to April 2nd. All levels of ability and ages catered for. Get tuition from expert instructors, Robert Wallace (Principal of The College of Piping), Barry Donaldson (ex Strathclyde Police Pipe Band), Bruce Hitchings (former Chief Instructor, Army School of Piping) and Jim Clark (Drumming). Course dates are Sunday 28th March 2010 through to Friday 2nd April 2010. Classes are open to all levels of ability and, for those who want, there will be piping and drumming examinations at the end of the week.

Fee for the week is £250. This includes tuition, evening activities and lunch. There is a variety of accommodation available locally to suit all budgets. Please contact info@highlandreeds.com for further details as we are very happy to help you find suitable accommodation.

Please note that there is plenty to do around the area for non-piping partners - hill walking, sea fishing, fly fishing, beaches, daily cruises, free wi-fi internet access at local hall, rock climbing etc etc.
Go to www.highlandreeds.com to register. The school will be a tried and tested mix of fun and study and will culminate in a grand concert and presentation of certificates. This school replaces the College's School previously run at Carbisdale and re-affirms the College's commitment to the Highlands of Scotland.

Robert Wallace said: "We are all very exited about the new school at Achiltibuie and can guarantee a week of serious study in a relaxed and helpful atmosphere. Each evening there will be a lecture or recital so every day from 9am till 9pm will be full of interest for pipers and drummer at all levels."
