The College Winter School, Homburg
February 6th – 12th 2011

Robert Wallace writes: ‘The 5th Annual College of Piping Winter School ended on a high note on Saturday evening with an audience of over 200 attending the closing concert and prizegiving. I was extremely pleased with the commitment shown by everyone, in particular the students who put in a huge a amount of work during the week. It is seeing and hearing them improve that gives us most satisfaction. The most promising student award and the Joe Wilson Memorial Trophy went to 10 year old Vincent Furst.

The superb facility at the Jugendherberge at Homburg provided the perfect atmosphere for learning and teaching. We have confirmed with the management that we will be returning in 2012. I want to thank Rolf and all his staff for their co-operation and assistance and also the people of Homburg who made us so welcome and supported us in every way possible. I must also thank RG Hardie & Co., the Kilt Centre and Kilts and More for their very generous sponsorship and Susy Klinger for her superb organisation.’
