The Seventh Annual College of Piping Winter School will be held at the Jugendherberge (youth hostel) in Homburg in Saarland, Germany, from February 17th - 24th 2013. We are opening registration earlier than usual to give as many pipers, drummers and drum majors as possible the chance of attending. The huge success of last years school means that places will be at a premium so our advice is to sign up as soon as you can. Pay your deposit now and the balance next January. The full price is £435 per person (¬521 approx.), based on two people sharing a double room. However, please note that the majority of rooms are four berth and there is only a limited number of double rooms available. The total cost based on four people sharing a bunk room is £390 (¬470 approx.) per person. Non-residential fee for the week is £335 (¬401 approx.). A single room supplement is applicable. Prices include meals, tuition and accommodation (where applicable) and a tutor book or collection of music of choice. Students can pay by bank transfer in euros or credit card via the secure online CoP Shop. A deposit of £100 (¬120 approx.) guarantees your place and the balance should be paid by January 10, 2013. Deposits are non-refundable. Students can also pay the full amount just now if they wish. Places will be limited to 70 for pipers and unlimited for drummers (bass, tenor, side) and drum majors and on a first come first served basis. The closing concert and certificates ceremony will take place in the Jugenherberge on Saturday, February 24th. The concert will be open to family, friends and townspeople. We will have a parade in the town to advertise the show. All other arrangements for the school will be as before with top instructors at all levels.
